Position: Surgery Tech

Location: Van Nuys, CA

Setting: Orthopedic Surgery Center

Job type: Full-time

Shift: 8 hours Mon - Fri

PAY RATE: $36 to $48 per hour depending on experience

Job Summary:

WellTech Partners is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Tech to join our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating the needs of surgeons
• Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure
• Collect and label specimens for laboratory analysis
• Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly and handle any malfunctions during procedures
• Provide post-operative care, such as dressing changes and wound care, under the direction of healthcare providers

Experience:

• Familiar with Joint Surgery and Orthopedic operations is a plus
• Understanding of body systems
• Proficiency in data collection
• Familiarity with hospital medicine practices
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong patient care skills
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems
• Previous work in an ambulatory surgery center is a plus
• Ability to manage medical records efficiently
• CST certification.
