Job description

PAY RATE: $35 to $40 per hour plus benefits/bonuses

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the physical therapist in providing quality care to patients. You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills in patient care, trigger point therapy, and medical terminology. Your work will primarily take place in a hospital or healthcare setting, where you will provide treatment to patients with acute conditions. Your knowledge of occupational health principles and your understanding of human physiology and anatomy will be essential in delivering effective therapy.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the physical therapist in providing patient care and treatment
• Perform therapeutic exercises and activities under the direction of the physical therapist
• Administer modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
• Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
• Assist with patient transfers and mobility

Skills:

• Proficient in providing patient care and implementing treatment plans
• Knowledge of trigger point therapy techniques
• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation
• Ability to work in acute care settings with patients of varying conditions
• Knowledge of occupational health principles and practices
• Strong understanding of human physiology and anatomy
