Job Description:

As a Party Chief with our company, you will lead a survey crew, overseeing all aspects of field data collection and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate is driven, hardworking, and capable of adapting to changing conditions and weather while working independently or collaborating with other teams as needed. You will have access to top-tier equipment, including Trimble GPS R-12Robotic S-7, and a Data Collector TSC3 to assist in performing high-accuracy surveying tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a survey crew on various projects, primarily focused on surveying, geospatial data collection, and site layout.
  • Utilize survey equipment (Trimble, GPS R-12, Robotic S-7, and TSC3 Data Collector) to perform high-precision measurements and data recording.
  • Ensure all measurements and data are accurate and compliant with industry standards.
  • Work independently, but collaborate with other teams as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Take ownership of job site responsibilities, including safety, quality control, and crew performance.
  • Occasional travel to project sites, and flexibility to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Maintain and care for equipment and company truck, which is provided for the role.
  • Periodically work on Prevailing Wage jobs and adhere to wage requirements when applicable.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant field experience in surveying or geospatial work.
  • Experience with Trimble GPS systems, Robotic Total Stations, and Data Collection software.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, or rain.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites as needed.
  • A strong work ethic and drive for excellence.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: USD $65,000 to $114,000 per year (dependent on experience).
  • Full-time position.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Company Vehicle: A company truck provided for the role, which can be taken home.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time with occasional overtime and travel required.
