Physical Therapist needed with at least 3* *years resent experience to join as a Staff PT in a 123 bed Hospital nestled in the coastal mountain range of California.
Coalinga, CA.
70 miles from the Pacific Coast and 60 miles west of Fresno, California.
Shift/ Schedule:
Full-Time
Monday-Friday
9AM-6PM
Job Summary:
The PT will be responsible for the evaluation of patients referred for physical therapy treatment, formulation of treatment plan and goals, and administration of the physical therapy treatments. The Physical Therapist shall be active in inpatient and outpatient services and shall interact with all hospital departments and medical staff. More specific duties outlined below:
  • Adheres to facility's Universal Behavioral Standards: Customer Focus/Dignity, Excellence, Teamwork, Adaptability and Responsibility.
  • Age specific/patient population assessments including.
  • Evaluating for age appropriate and motor skills.
  • Identifies increased physical/emotional dependency needs.
  • Demonstrates ability to involve family in decision making related to plan of care.
  • Assesses patients for signs and symptoms of abuse/neglect and makes appropriate referrals. * Physical therapy assessment and treatment plans including performing evaluation tests and measurements, setting goals, developing logical treatment, reassessments and revisions, documenting progress and completing patient discharge as needed.
  • Administering physical therapy treatment.
  • Documentation, communication and supervision.
Qualifications
The Physical Therapist possesses the following minimum qualifications for this classification:
  • California Physical Therapy License
  • CPR required
  • Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • At least five (5) years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist.
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Ability to constantly stand, walk, turn, stoop, bend, stretch and lift to assist patients.
  • Finger and hand dexterity to handle delicate instruments and other equipment;
  • Good visual and hearing ability to detect change in patient's condition.
  • Must be able to exhibit kindness, patience and tact when dealing with patients, families and visitors.
  • Any combination of qualifying experience and/or training that matches the above listed qualifications.
